BOMA/Chicago Building Member The Rookery Win 2012 International “The Outstanding Building of the Year” (TOBY) Awards

Chicago – June 28, 2012 – The Building Owners and Managers Association of Chicago (BOMA/Chicago) announced today that The Rookery received an International “The Outstanding Building of the Year” (TOBY) Award at the 2012 Every Building Conference & Expo presented by BOMA International and Buildings. The International TOBY Awards are among the most prestigious and comprehensive in the commercial real estate industry, honoring excellence in office building management in 14 categories based on building size and facility type.

Judges from BOMA International selected The Rookery was selected from a pool of five properties for the International TOBY Award in the Historical Building category. The Rookery was honored for demonstrating excellence in building management, tenant relations, environmental and sustainability initiatives, emergency preparedness, security standards and continuing education opportunities for staff members, as well as overall community impact.

Five BOMA/Chicago building members were eligible to receive International TOBY Awards after winning Regional TOBY Awards in April.
